London-based duo lilo have dropped a nuanced new single and video in the form of ‘Just A Thought’. Their sound is accomplished and unique, with alt-folk and country influences combining with extremely melodic pop to form something instantly memorable. It’s a full-bodied sound backed by excellent production that manages to balance that huge snare drum with layers of gritty distorted guitars without it ever becoming overwhelming. They explain the juxtaposing video: “Inspired by a ‘Chicken Cinema’ video idea we’ve had for so long it had started to become lilo lore.
